New Header + Small update on my boring life

Sigh. Dear readers, I currently have twelve tabs of blog posts I need to comment on, and it's stressing me out, because I just barely glanced at the time and realized I have to go to class in 10 minutes.
And that's maybe half of the posts in my reading list, because I simply don't have time for all of you lovely people's posts.
Anyway, I did finally get around to changing my Christmas look out for a look that will probably do just fine for both winter and spring, which is nice, because it's practically spring here in my corner of the world anyway, unusual though it is.

There, I have now successfully rambled for that long. Sigh.

Where was I going with this post? I don't know.

Here I am back, a couple hours later, to try to make sense of anything and to actually comment on all those 12 posts.
All right, lovely people, let's try for some organization some random bits of nonsense.

-Remember I said I was writing a musical? Well, it's no longer a musical but a play (guys, writing script is 10000x easier than writing songs, let me tell you). It's coming along...marvellously. It's Sleeping Beauty, and in addition to my playwright and director roles, I also play the part of the evil fairy.

-School Sigh. (Remember when I did that post on Algebra? Replace "Algebra" with Calculus...with some adjustments as it's a college lecture class, not Khan Academy).

-Spring break is the week after next, and my very best bosom friend and kindred spirit is coming to visit!!! For the first time ever (usually I visit her)!!!! (She lives across the country so we don't get to see each other often.) She's coming for a whole week!!!! It's going to be fabulous and we are likely going to write a blog post together, or document our 24-hour movie marathon on here, or both, or something.
I'm so excited!!!

-I read The Blue Castle again recently, and gaaahh, I love it so much.

-I was supposed to start working on schoolwork six minutes ago, but the fact is, none of the deadlines are soon enough for me to have much motivation. It's a rough place to be in, because I know I should do work, but I can't make myself focus, but I can't just enjoy being lazy because I should be working.
Did that make any sense? :)

-What do you do when you have a guy who's a really good friend but everyone thinks you either are, should be, or will be dating but you've even talked about it, for pity's sake, and agreed that it simply wouldn't do?

-Speaking of, I just took a break to give the poor lad mentioned above a bite during a short break from class he had.

-I need to go comment on all those posts now, so I can keep procrastinating schoolwork.

-Tell me something lovely and cheerful, please, all of you; I'm in need of some cheering up. (Of course, I'm about to get some with the posts I'm about to read...but here you can tell me little sunshiny tidbits.)

  1. Hello, Rae dear! I'm pretty new around here but I must say I enjoyed this rambky peek into your "boring" life! :) If you think your life us boring, try living mine! Ugh. Talk about booooooring...

Anyway. I know what you mean about needing cheering up, so here I am!!! *showers you with cheer of all varieties*

Wow! You are playwright, director, and actor??? I call that impressive! :)

Ack! Let the world think what it lines and go on being friends with the boy! In my experience, boys make FANTASTIC friends - and people will aaaaalways insist on seeing what isn't there. :) He sounds like a good friend to me, especially if you talked about dating openly with him, and I'd try to keep him if I were you. :)

    1. Hello, Kayla Marie!! Welcome! Nice to meet you!!

Aww, you're sweet. Thanks so much!

Haha, thanks. It's both easier and harder than it sounds. :p

      Haha, thanks...he sure is. :)

      Thanks for your lovely comment!!

    2. Hi! *waves*

I've written plays (but, goodness, I would be LOST if I tried to write a musical because I don't know how to write songs!) but never directed one and never acted my own play! Quite the accomplishment, really! :)

      Your welcome! :)

  2. Awwww. Rae. I completely understand the feeling of stressing out over all the posts that need to be commented on. It's a real struggle sometimes, isn't it? Don't put too much pressure on yourself, though. I'm sure everyone understands if you're not able to comment on every single post. We all know how busy life can get. *hugs* :)

Okay. So a regular play sounds SO much easier than a musical, and I'm glad you're not having to worry about writing songs on top of all the other things you're doing. Because, seriously girl, you sound like you've got quite enough to do already! Writing, directing, AND acting? Whew!! That's a lot! I'm so glad things are coming together well, though. Keep up the good work!! :D

Ugh. School. You may well sigh over it. I'd certainly be sighing (and probably much more than sighing) if I were in your place. ;P

Yay for Spring break and for best friends coming to visit!! Have a marvelous, marvelous time, my dear!! (Not like I have to tell you that, I'm sure.) And yes! Do write a blog post together. That would be such fun! (Does your best friend have a blog of her own?)

Still haven't read The Blue Castle. It's on my list of books to read, though, so hopefully someday--in the not too distant future--I shall be in the loop on that one. ;)

"...but I can't just enjoy being lazy because I should be working." Haha. That is a MOST familiar feeling. I relate to that! ;D

Oh dear. What a pickle. I wish I had some real, profound advice to give you, but I'm afraid this goes beyond my range of experience. (I've never had a really good guy friend, you see.) I guess you'll just have to give in and date him. HAHA. JUST KIDDING! Bide your time. Eventually people will get the idea that you two won't be paired up; then they'll stop talking about it...and pair you up with someone else instead. (Heehee. I really am very helpful tonight, aren't I? ;P)

"I need to go comment on all those posts now, so I can keep procrastinating schoolwork." Haha. Yes. First things first. Always. ;)

Aww. Something cheerful. Let me think. Well, we've been having some gloriously warm weather lately. It's like spring in February!! (How's the weather where you live?) And today I went out to Chick-fil-A for lunch with my mom and older sisters and had a most delicious milkshake--which I didn't need--and then came home and made cookies with my brother and ate cookie dough--which I also didn't need--but after that I WENT FOR A WALK! And that should balance out the sugar and make it all okay, right? Haha. ;P

    ~Miss March

P.S. Your new blog look is splendid!! I'm really liking the lacy background. And your new header, too. The pictures are lovely, and I really like how you arranged the title. That color blue, though, is so delicious. <3

P.P.S. Sorry if this comment was a bit goofy. I don't know what comes over me sometimes. :P

    1. AWW MISS MARCH. When I finished your comment, I literally said out loud (because I was alone in my room), "Aww, Miss March, you're so sweet. I love you. That totally made my day." So now I say that to you. :)

First, thanks so much for the sympathy and hugs. You're the best. :)

Haha. Thanks, dear. It's great fun, for sure.

      Yes. Sigh. :D

She does, but she just created it once on a whim and hasn't posted anything yet...we might put the post on both our blogs! :)

Ooh, you definitely need to read it. Someday.

Yes, actually. Thanks. :D There's really no way we'll ever date; our religious differences are too large and too prominent, so...biding my time and someday people will see sounds good to me. :)

      Haha. Exactly.

THAT WAS PERFECT!!! The authour of Sunshiny Corner is living up to her blog name. Yes, we are having spring in February here, too!! I love it so much! And that sounds perfectly lovely. Milkshake, cookie dough, and most of all, family. :) Made me happy just to hear about it! And YOU WENT FOR A WALK! Awesome!! I walk often; I love being outside. Especially in this weather!

      Oh, thank you, dear!!

YOUR COMMENT WAS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. It was the most perfect thing I could hope for today. I love it to death. THANK YOU.

      <3 <3 <3

    2. Awww. You're the sweetest!! Love you, too, Rae! I'm so glad my comment was a cheerful spot in your day! :D Yours in turn made me really happy! I've been truly blessed to have so many dear friends. :)

Oh yes. Very good point. It's never the best idea to start dating if you differ too strongly on important things like that. It's so cool that you can be good friends, though. :D

Aww, thanks. I'm glad to be living up to my blog name. :) FAMILY IS THE BEST!!! :D Yes, this weather (or the weather that's gotten cold again now) is perfect for walks. I've never been a very consistent walker, but it sure feels good when I actually do it. :)

Oh! I'm so glad! You've brightened my day with your comments so many times, it's nice to be able to do the same for you. Love you, friend! *hugs*

  3. I love your new header!!!! The one picture is from S&S 2008, where is the other one from?

Oh! You play the evil fairy? I'm usually the villain too.

I love math, but I hate Calculus. I'm feeling really sorry for you.

I love these posts because they tell me that you are alive and haven't swallowed any more pins...

Some thing know! I read P&P for the first time and I loved it!!!!!!!!!!!

    Good luck on Calculus!

    1. The picture on the left is from North and South; it's Margaret's cousin Edith.

Haha, it's the best part. :)

      :( It's the worst.

      YES YOU DO!!!

Hahaha. I suppose you're right. No, I haven't swallowed any more pins. :p

OH YAY!!! That is cheerful!!! That book is quite possibly the best book ever (or, like, maybe 2nd or 3rd).

      Thanks for your comment!!!

  4. First of all, I LOVE your header!!! Perfect for winter and spring.

I totally understand the feeling of stress when you have to read all the posts bloggers made and then comment on them. I had that once.

You play in a play as a evil fairy?! That most be awesome!

I already had my spring break from school, this is the last day. Tomorrow it's back to school again.

I must read The Blue Castle one day, it seems a lovely book.

I'm looking forward to read all your posts with your best friend. :) I imagine me doing posts with my best friend, and it would be awesome. Never done it actually.

    1. Thanks, dear!! Glad you agree.

      Ugh, yes, isn't it awful?

      It is awesome!!

      I hope you enjoyed it!

YES, you must!! It IS lovely.

I hope we'll be able to do that! And yes, you should try that too!

Thanks for your comment, Rachel dear!!

  5. Rae, Rae, Rae...I feel your pain. I'll replace Algebra and Calculus with Probability and Statistics and share in your misery.
But don't be miserable--or at least try not to be. Look forward to your kindred spirit's arrival, go talk to the young man you are not, will not, and never shall be dating--he sounds like a good friend.
I just realized you wanted something cheerful.
How about this: "Life is worth living as long as there's a laugh in it."
Of course, ice cream never hurt, either :)

    1. I'm sorry, Miss Elizabeth, dear, if you feel my pain; 'tis dreadful, isn't it? Probability and Statistics! Shudder.

Thanks so much, dear!!! That's good sound advice.

      Perfect!!! Thank you, Miss Elizabeth.
Ice cream, yes. I have chocolate, which will have to do for now. :)

Thank you SO much for your comment, Miss Elizabeth dear!!! I loved it so much.

  6. Aww, you sweet dear.<3 I wish I'd checked your blog sooner.:( I KNOW. I struggle so much with Algebra. But I believe in you!!:) As for the are awesome to not cave in to peer pressure and to keep your standards. You go girl!! #WomenofGod

Something cheerful? Hmm, I admit that at the moment I can only think of this funny video I've been cackling over "I have the fruit of the Spirit, but y'all need to move!"

You got this, Rae.<3 *Hugs you*

    ~Rilla Blythe

    1. Aww, YOU sweet dear!!!
Yes, Algebra was the worst. I feel for ya. But thank you!!!
Aw, thanks. That's nice to hear. :)
Okay, let me go watch it...
      Hahahahahaha. :)
Thanks so much, Rilla, dear!!! *Hugs back*
